Layne Waters

I'm a second year K-7 art teacher at Mountain View Academy. I grew up in a tiny town in Southern Illinois with my amazing little brother whose not so little anymore. I want to make a difference in student's lives using art and I want them to know its okay to have art that expresses who they are. I love to read to my students and base art projects around the stories. I also have a passion for my own art including  but not limited to; printmaking , painting with acrylic and watercolors. I enjoy plants of all variety, dinosaurs and hiking with my family. I'm beyond excited to start my teaching career at this wonderful school with amazing people.
