Artist Statement

When making art I tend to sway on the side of non-representational. I like making meaning in my art that is hard to find or has many different interpretations. I also like making art for art sake meaning I don't always have a reason behind my creations. I get a lot of inspiration from nature, shapes, colors and my little brother. Printmaking and oil painting are my mediums of choice but I have experience in metal smithing, wood working, sculpture, ceramics, 2-D and 3-D design, drawing, photography and art history as well.
